The Plaskett–Potter Transition wants every Virgin Islander to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation.
Our goal
What we’ve done
- Readable color contrast: text across the site has been checked against the WCAG AA contrast standard, and colors were adjusted where needed.
- Keyboard access: menus, links and buttons can be reached with the Tab key and show a visible focus outline.
- Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, the site’s animations and hover effects are turned off.
- Text alternatives: photos and graphics have descriptive alternative text, and links describe where they go.
- Clear structure: pages use headings and landmarks so screen-reader users can move through them easily.
- Works on any screen: the layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops, and text can be enlarged with your browser’s zoom.
- Language: an English / Español switch in the footer translates pages into Spanish.
Known limitations
- Machine translation: Spanish pages are translated automatically and may contain errors. If something is unclear, contact us and we will help.
- Documents: some documents we share, such as PDFs, may not be fully accessible. We will provide an accessible version on request.
- Other websites: content on social media and other sites we link to is outside our control.
We review the site as content is added and fix problems as we find them.

How we checked
This statement is based on a self-assessment by the site team, including automated color-contrast checks and manual testing with a keyboard and on desktop and mobile screens.
